The year is almost over with, which means a
cute little baby new year is about to sprout up
and become a teen, and then old and cranky very
quickly..... then finally croak like 2008.
Make 2009 a better year, with less time
spent reading news posts under the title
"12/16/2008" (I'm kidding, of course!)

Meanwhile here are the next four or so sentences
from the second chapter of the "Half Attentive.." short story:
"I want women and cheesecake but it seems to go nowhere,
with the cheesecake and women getting.” I was thumbing through
my old notebook pages. It seemed to be my main agenda for about
two months, yet as far as I had gotten on those low-luck times were a box
of Nutty Bars and a kiss from a drunken stranger. Amongst the world
somewhere were bad actors pushed from B-side Hollywood movies into
reading even worse scripts for filming even lower budget straight-to-net
porn videos, and a line of school busses were getting ready to pick up
crusty-eyed children from their front streets...."
The ultimate lesson truly is "Dear god please don't take
yourself too seriously!"
